Another variation on Non Transitive Dice, this time based on a set of three dice. The number combinations are 1, 4, 4, 4, 4, 4; 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 6; and 2, 2, 2, 5, 5, 5. In this case, the first die beats the second in 25 out of 36 possibilities, the second beats the third in 21 out of 36 chances, and the third beats the first in 21 out of 36 tries.
Michael Phillips writes to point out that Bradley Efron designed some further sets of Non Transitive Dice, including 2,3,3,9,10,110,1,7,8,8,85,5,6,6,6,6,4,4,4,4,12,12and1,2,3,9,10,110,1,7,8,8,95,5,6,6,7,73,4,4,5,11,12
